Find Glamping Destinations in Queensland
Australia is one of the top places in the world that is most ideal for camping. The country has an array of wildlife, rainforests, beaches, farmland, and a vast outback that is unique in nature. Camping has been a popular holiday activity for couples and families for a long time, but that doesn’t mean that everyone enjoys it.
Even though some people love getting back into nature with traditional camping, glamping is for people who appreciate their vacations more if they can relax and they don’t have to worry about creature comforts during their stay. And, you know what? That’s okay. You can appreciate nature and still be luxurious and comfortable at the same time!
Camping vs Glamping in Queensland
Glamping came about when wealthier people travelled to Africa and found accommodations there to be lacking. They started requesting for beds and other amenities to be included in their tents. The idea was brought to other countries and, today, the glamping market is worth a pretty sizable amount.
The idea of glamping is to bring people closer to nature and let them enjoy the wonders of the earth without sacrificing the luxuries that they are used to. There are city folks who prefer to go camping and enjoy roughing it out. They see it as an escape from the concrete jungle. However, there are people who also enjoy the flora and fauna that is away from the city, but have difficulty with the traditional camping setup. This is where glamping comes in. You get full hotel and resort amenities while being fully immersed in the natural landscape of your choice.
For Queensland in particular, camping is a popular holiday activity because of the beautiful weather. It’s rarely cold here and the temperature ranges around 29 degrees Celsius. In addition to that, Queensland’s landscape offers a variety of options for glampers to immerse themselves in and enjoy. Glamping is certainly one of the best options and today we’ll help you decide your next travel destination by showing you some of the best glamping holidays in Queensland.

These are testaments to the company’s commitment to a luxurious experience.
In the tent also is a 50-inch plasma TV (with Netflix). There’s free Wi-Fi and you also get a stereo for your iPod. The kitchen is fully equipped with European appliances, should you wish to cook your own meals. Nightfall Wilderness Camp, Gold Coast
The most impressive thing about this camp is their beautifully worded vision which is to “touch the earth lightly while creating a genuinely sustainable business”. During the building phase of the campsite, the area saw a record amount of rainfall. This made it impossible for the machines to go uphill to transport their equipment. Volunteers, family, and friends banded together to carry tent frames by hand. The property is connected to the neighbouring Lamington National Park. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife.
The tents at Nightfall have canvas walls which are hand sewn by one of the co-founders. When you roll up those canvas walls, you’ll reveal a mesh wall which makes the “inside blur with the outside”. You get a 360 degree view of nature from inside your tent and really lets you be one with nature. That’s not to say that the luxurious glamping experience is compromised. The tents have wire-brushed timber floors that are soft on the feet, a hand-carved stone basin, rain head shower, organic beddings and woolen blankets. You also get a complimentary basket of Australian sparkling wine and gourmet platter. Guests may opt for a fully catered stay at the camp. The owners serve a carefully curated and locally-sourced organic selection of food.
Only 8 adults at a time are allowed to stay at Nightfall to ensure a private, peaceful, and personalized experience. Among the activities you can do are hiking to historically significant landmarks, including a hike to the famous Stinson crash site. You can also rock hop to pools (the owners can teach you how to spot the elusive platypus) or relax in a swirling bubbling natural spa in the middle of the creek. The campsite is also a good spot for bird watching.
Nightfall Wilderness Camp also offers massages and facials, and yoga classes. You can book a romantic dinner with your partner, as well as enjoy communal nights gathered by the lounge fireplace with other guests while watching the stars and having a drink.
